Crane Manufacturer
About Shuttlelift

Our company developed the Shuttlelift Gantry product line over 20 years ago, leveraging our existing expertise with mobile gantry cranes in the marine industry. Through superior engineering innovations and customer-driven improvements, Shuttlelift Gantry Cranes has become one of the premier lines in the materials handling industry today.

Over the years, customers have challenged us to solve their materials handling solutions and Shuttlelift has responded with answers that have proven both valuable and helpful for our customers. It’s the way we have continued to grow as a company over the past 20 years.

Engineering

Shuttlelift has made significant investments in the most current engineering tools available, including: Solidworks, CAD Software, Stress Testing Software and much more. We’ve invested in the best people we could hire and asked them to use their intelligence to solve customer challenges time and time again. Our engineering department is driven by the needs of our customers, and they harness that drive to create more useful solutions every year. From the zinc coated pins we use for our connectors, to the primer we use on our paint, our engineers are always searching for ways to make our cranes last longer and perform better for our customers. To the best of our knowledge, we’ve engineered and constructed the largest industrial Gantry Crane in the world at 500 tons. We could design a larger one, but our customers have just not asked for it yet. Engineering is the life blood of our business and we intend to keep it that way.

Quality

The word quality has an ambiguous meaning when used to speak about a product. We want to create meaning for quality and help you assess it. For Shuttlelift, quality is definable and measurable against our competitors in the market. For us, quality starts with fabrication. We have a sister company who performs our fabrication work, and they are some of the best fabricators in the industry. We bend two separate pieces of ½ inch plate steel and then weld them together to create our Gantry columns. We then reinforce those columns with a weld on each side, and fortify the inside with angle iron to provide rigidity and structural support. Is this a more expensive way to make a product? Yes. But as a customer, when you are lifting critical assets, don’t you want something that is truly designed to support your load? We do. We then take those columns and coat them with a special paint primer that resists corrosion and chipping. This primer also ensures that the paint adheres to the metal and forms a durable barrier between the structure and the elements within which it is going to be working. We then proceed to assemble those towers, legs, cross members, and stainless steel tubes with stainless steel fasteners and zinc coated pins to ensure a corrosion resistant product that is going to weather the elements easily. Our competitors paint their cranes without using primer; they use regular steel fasteners and rubber hoses; and use box welded columns as their structure. There really is no comparison, but they will claim there is. Our warranty again proves the quality of our work, because it is the best warranty in the business. We give you 12 months or 2,000 hours on the complete product. Shuttlelift also maintains a large parts inventory to support the maintenance of your machine throughout its life. Now who do you trust?

People

At Shuttlelift, our people are what make this company successful. Without them, we would not be able to create, service, or build the products we do. When you are buying a product from Shuttlelift, you are buying a personal commitment from each of our people to give you the best product for the investment you are making.
